1. Agreement to Terms
By creating an organizer account, or by accessing an event through a Golfday link as a golfer, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use Golfday.
2. What Golfday Is
Golfday is software that helps organizers plan and run golf tournaments - registration, scoring, communication, and fundraising tools like auctions and raffles - and helps the golfers in those tournaments check in, track their round, and take part in those events. We provide the tool; the organizer running each event is responsible for the event itself.
3. Organizer Accounts
You need an account to create and manage an event. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for everything that happens under your account. Provide accurate information about yourself and your event.
4. Golfer Access
Golfers join a specific event through a private link or QR code provided by the organizer - no separate Golfday account or password is required. Because that link identifies you within the event, don't share it with anyone you don't want accessing your information for that event.
5. Payments
Entry fees, raffle tickets, and auction payments are processed by Stripe. By making a payment, you authorize that charge. Refund and cancellation policies - for entry fees especially - are set by each event's organizer, not by Golfday. Check with your organizer about their policy before assuming a refund is available.
6. Auctions and Raffles
Placing a bid is a commitment to pay that amount if you win. Buy It Now purchases and winning bids are final once payment succeeds. Raffle ticket purchases are final and non-refundable.
Organizers running a raffle or auction are responsible for making sure it complies with the laws of the state and locality where the event is held, including any licensing, permitting, or reporting requirements for raffles and games of chance. Golfday provides the software; it doesn't review or guarantee the legal compliance of any specific event's auction or raffle.
7. Acceptable Use
Don't use Golfday to collect information about people without their knowledge, send spam or unsolicited messages outside the context of your event, attempt to access another organizer's event data, or interfere with the app's normal operation.
8. Content You Provide
You're responsible for the accuracy of the event details, photos, and messages you upload or send. You keep ownership of anything you upload - like auction photos or a course map - but you give us permission to display it to the people you're sharing your event with.
9. Intellectual Property
The Golfday name, app, and design are owned by us. These Terms don't grant you any rights to them beyond using the app as intended.
10. Disclaimers
Golfday is provided “as is.” We work to keep it reliable, but we don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we're not responsible for decisions made based on information - like scores or handicaps - generated by the app.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the extent allowed by law, Golfday isn't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us, if any, in the 12 months before the claim.
12. Termination
We can suspend or terminate an account that violates these Terms. Organizers can close their own account at any time; we'll retain event data as described in our Privacy Policy.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll update the date below when we do, and continued use of Golfday after a change means you accept the update.
